Harry's Scar L
05 September 2022
The Scar L was the second rifle I ever bought. I have always liked the scar platform as it is something different but will still take the stanag mag. I used this rifle in it's stock form for about 5 years. When it eventually broke, it required tech work. This is the case for most of my rifles over the years. They wear down to the point of not being functional or barely functional
When I found NemTac I enquired about getting my scar to it's former glory without realising I could get more out of it.
I explained what I wanted and I got to tech spec sheet of what I needed, how much the parts will cost and the set labour price. I thought this was really fair as some techs will charge by the hour and not see the value of the work carried out. This rifle was turned around quite quickly hosting a Gate Titan MOSFET, completely reworked gearbox and modified stock to enable me to quick change batteries rather than having to carry in Allen key on the field with m
A few adjustments were required and had to be sent back to NemTac as I couldn't figure out why the battery was draining so quick. This was included in the labour charge and found it to be a fault with the motor which was changed out, tested and handed back to me now with the addition of a shortdot And a EGLM grenade launcher. I've never been happier with this setup and get compliments on the rifle and the work done on most fields I've been to - even NAF.
There hasn't been a rifle I've given to NemTac that they haven't been able to work on, such as niche items like an SLR or an RPD from LCT. And now NemTac are looking into the development side like an SCR or Groza kit for a Cyma AK where I asked, can it be done? He said yes, no problem.
No question is a silly question with them. Honest prices, honest service and good turnaround time.
